Acer Dissectum Green Lace

Data sheet
Comportamento Vegetativo
Growth

Typical of this cultivar is the umbrella shape of the arching, weeping crown whilst its moderate growth rate allows it to retain a compact, rounded crown requiring only minimal pruning. It adapts itself well to limited spaces on balconies, terraces, or in small gardens, but still requires its own well ventilated area with a semi-shaded exposure.

Fogliame
Foliage

The foliage displays a brilliant bright green colour in spring, take on a darker tint in summer, and finally transform into golden yellow in autumn before falling. Newly grown leaves vary in colour from straw yellow to cream. Leaves are well defined and jagged with deep veins and are carried cascading to weeping.

Terreno
Terrain

To facilitate root growth this cultivar prefers soft, moist and well-drained terrain. Ensure enough water is present in the summer months to prevent desiccating leaves. Frequent flooding, however, especially in heavier terrain unsuited to this plant, is to be avoided as it can lead to fungus and necrosis.

Cura della Pianta
Plant care

Taking care of these plants is the only way to enjoy their beauty and elegance for a long time. Verify the need for an annual disinfestation to be carried out in the spring period (March-April), perform two annual fertilizations in spring and autumn, and perform a pruning in the autumn period (September-October)
